Brent has been riding for years and has much experience.
I however I had just got my licence and I knew that in order to handle a world trip I better get some experience in the mud, rain and back roads. Well I got it!
Dave and LeeAnn owned a great spot in Coleman BC. They had offered us to come out and spend the long weekend and what a great weekend not only are they great people but they are fun and interesting too.
Brent and I packed up the bikes (this is probably the third trip we took on the bike to prepare). The drive to Coleman was about 2hrs each way.

As you can see by the pictures I got the experience I was looking for!

Bluerock camp ground

This is the first actual camping trip we took to get ready and test out the gear we had.

We live in Calgary Alberta . This is a great site only about 1.5 hrs away.

The chair that I am sitting on we had at home so I strapped them to the back of by bike and away I went. Brent laughed at me saying I was driving a motor home with the chairs strapped to the bike. -Very funny but they came in handy and made us realize we needed something (which lead to the three legged stools we now have.

As you can see from the photos the weekend was beautiful and very warm. Brent and I took the bikes way back in the woods looking for a large water fall we were told about. Within about 2hrs the weather turned (that is Calgary for you) and we were caught in the middle of a hail storm. -WOW THAT HURT! especially because we still had to drive for about 15 minutes to our camp site.-Plus it was getting slick!

As we arrived at the site everything was destroyed- Our small dragon fly cooker, ect. This was a really good lesson for me because I got wet and really did not have much else to stay warm. I now have corrected that problem for the trip.
